Our Story
Janni & George is the brainchild of two friends, Danny and Joe, who moved to Sri Lanka with all the wrong clothes packed in their bags. After noticing a lack of simply-designed, well-made clothes available to buy, they decided to tackle the problem themselves. After two years of working together and countless attempts at spelling their names correctly, their original tailor in Sri Lanka still referred to the two as "Janni" and "George". It was only natural that they sacrifice their real names in the name of good business.
Fast forward to present day, where Janni & George is now a local South African brand that produces timeless ready-to-wear garments – made from sustainable materials and designed to be worn for years. They create well-crafted, classic pieces with the hope of slowing down fashion and shifting the focus to timeless style.
